Using nsrsnapadmin for snapshot operations

You can run the nsrsnapadmin command utility in interactive mode to manually query, recover, delete, and expire file system snapshot save sets.

NOTE The nsrsnapadmin interactive commands support only snapshots of file systems. The commands do not support the snapshots of application data, such as NMDA or NMSAP data.

To start interactive mode, at the CLI prompt type nsrsnapadmin. When you receive an input prompt, you can type a specific command and its available options to perform the NetWorker operation listed in the following table.

Perform a file-by-file browsing and recovery r [-s nsr_server] [-c client] [-M mount_host] [-T recover_host] -S ssid [-A attr=val]
Perform a rollback B [-s nsr_server] [-c client] [-M mount_host] [-T recover_host] [-Fv] -S ssid [-A attr=val] -m path
Reset the expiration time for a snapshot save set e time [-s nsr_server] [-c client] [-v] -S ssid [or -S "ssid ssid ..."]
Exit the program q or quit

where:

  • nsr_server is the hostname of the NetWorker server.
  • client is the hostname of the application client.
  • mount_host is the hostname of the mount host.
  • -v is for verbose logging.
