Configuring Unisphere CLI on VNXe3200

Follow this procedure to run Unisphere CLI on Windows 2012. Unisphere CLI is the only binary required for NSM VNXe-Snap Block snapshot to work. Currently Unisphere CLI is only available as a 32-bit binary.
NOTE NetWorker now supports snapshots of both a single and LUN Group devices.
  1. On the production host and the mount host, install Unisphere CLI.
The Unisphere CLI product documentation provides information for OS specific installation and requirements.
  2. In the Configure Optional Settings pane, to include Unisphere CLI in the environment path, do not change the Unisphere CLI in the Environment path that is selected by default.
  3. To avoid runtime backup errors, in the Configure Optional Settings pane, select Low (The certificate will not be verified).
  4. On both the client and the proxy or storage node, create a security file by typing the following command:
    uemcli -d <IP address> -u <username> -p <password> -saveUser
  5. Test the connection by typing the following command:
    uemcli -d <IP address> /prot/snap show

If after running this command the system displays an error, then Unisphere CLI is not setup correctly.
