Configuring ProtectPoint
- On Data Domain, enable vDisk.
- Provision protection vDisk devices on Data Domain.
- Configure the protection devices on the VMAX3.
- (Optional) Create restore vDisk devices on Data Domain, if you are restoring directly from Data Domain.
- Create a NetWorker device, and then label it under a NetWorker pool using the wizard.
- To create snapshot policies, follow the steps in the Data Protection Policies section, and then set the destination pool to a pool that contains a ProtectPoint device.
- Follow the steps in the Configuring snapshot backups with the client wizard or Configuring snapshot backups manually sections, and then set the options accordingly.
