Removing touchpad

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. base cover
   2. battery
3. To remove the touchpad cable:
   1. Lift the latch, and disconnect the touchpad cable from the connector on the touchpad [1].
   2. Peel off the adhesive-backed cable to release it from the touchpad bracket [2].
      
4. To remove touchpad metal bracket:
   1. Remove the six M2x2 and one M2x3 screw that secures the metal bracket to the system.
      NOTE Remove the adhesive tape that secures the speaker cable on the metal bracket.

      
   2. Remove the adhesive tapes securing the bracket to the touchpad [1]. Lift the bracket away from the system [3]
      
5. Remove the touchpad from the computer.
