Replacing the palmrest

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. keyboard
    4. SSD card
    5. power switch board
    6. audio
    7. power connector
    8. coin cell battery
    9. speaker
    10. display assembly
    11. system board
    12. world facing camera
    NOTE Touchpad is not a standalone component and is assembled along with the palmrest.
    NOTE The component you are left with is the palmrest.

  3. Install the following components on the new palmrest:
    1. world facing camera
    2. system board
    3. display assembly
    4. speaker
    5. coin cell battery
    6. power connector
    7. audio
    8. power switch board
    9. SSD card
    10. keyboard
    11. battery
    12. base cover
  4. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
