OpenManage Enterprise Integration for VMware vCenter Version 1.1 User's Guide

Assign Dell privileges to existing role

1. Log in to the vSphere Client (HTML5) with administrative rights.
2. In vSphere Client (HTML5), expand Menu, and click Administration → Roles.
3. From the Roles provider drop-down list, select a vCenter server.
4. From the Roles list, select the following to view their privileges
   • Dell-Infrastructure Deploy
   • Dell-Operational Manage
   • Dell-Operational Monitor
   • Dell-Operational ReadOnly
5. From the Roles list, select Dell-Infrastructure Deploy, Dell-Operational Manage, Dell-Operational Monitor, or Dell-Operational ReadOnly, and then click PRIVILEGES.
6. To assign the Dell privileges, click the edit icon [].
   The Edit Role page is displayed.
7. In the left pane, click Dell, select the following Dell privileges for the selected role, and then click NEXT.
   Following are the privileges of Dell-Infrastructure Deploy

   • Dell ReadOnly
     • Dell Events View
     • Dell Infrastructure View
     • Dell Manage View
     • Dell Monitor View
     • Dell Provisioning View
     • Dell Troubleshooting View
   Following are the privileges of Dell-Operational Manage

   • Dell Events
     • Dell Events Alerts Configure
     • Dell Events PHA Configure
   • Dell Infrastructure
     • Dell Infrastructure Compliance Configure
     • Dell Infrastructure Consoles Configure
     • Dell Infrastructure Deployment Configure
     • Dell Infrastructure Discovery Configure
     • Dell Infrastructure Induct Configure
   • Dell Manage
     • Dell Manage Configuration Configure
     • Dell Manage Update Configure
     • Dell Manage Upgrade Configure
   • Dell Monitor

8. Edit the Role Name and enter Description for the selected role, if required.
9. Click FINISH.
   Log out and log in from the vCenter. The user with necessary privileges can now perform the OMEVV operations.
