Installing the left control panel
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
- Remove the front bezel.
- Remove the support bar.
- Remove the air shrouds.
- Remove the cooling fan assembly.
Steps
- Route the control panel cable through the side wall of the system.
- Align the control panel assembly with the control panel slot on the system and place the assembly in the slot on the system.
- Connect the control panel cable to the system board connector and secure it using cable latch.NOTE Route the cables properly when you replace them to prevent them from being pinched or crimped.
- Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, install the screws that secure the control panel and ribbon cable to the system.
