Removing the GPU shroud

Prerequisites

NOTE The GPU shroud must be removed only when a GPU is installed in the system.
  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the support bar.
  4. Remove the air shroud A.

Steps

  1. Hold the GPU shroud by the edges on either side of the touch points.
  2. Lift it from the system.
