Physical disk power management
Physical disk
power management is a power saving feature of the Shared PERC 8 card.
Idle-C feature, as defined by the T10 organization, is auto-enabled
for physical disk power management. Physical disks that support Idle-C
feature, spin at lower RPMs upon timer expiration when there is no
I/O activity.
