How alerts are acknowledged
The alert connector automatically acknowledges alerts. When the alert connector picks up an alert and sends it home through Secure Remote Services, it receives a Secure Remote Services acknowledgement and sets the alert to acknowledged.
The alert appears as acknowledged on the Alerts page in PowerFlex Manager.
To remove an alert acknowledgement, click Unacknowledge. The alert connector sends the alert home again at its next polling interval. It then resets the alert back to acknowledged. You might remove an acknowledgement to resend an alert when there is a question as to whether it was successfully sent.
Alert acknowledgement prevents repeatedly sending home the same alerts. Sending duplicate alerts to Dell might result in duplicate Service Request (SR) case creation and/or part dispatch.
