Updating a PowerFlex device path

When you remove a PowerFlex device prior to moving it from one pool to another, update the device path before moving it, or the command will fail. Use this procedure to change the path configurations of all devices, to the device path assigned in the SDS.

Steps

From the PowerFlex CLI, type scli --update_sds_original_paths (--sds_id <ID> | --sds_name <NAME> | --sds_ip <IP> [--sds_port <PORT>]) [--force_failed_devices].
Parameters:
  • --sds_id <ID> is the SDS ID.
  • --sds_name <NAME> is the SDS name.
  • --sds_ip <IP> is the SDS IP address.
  • --sds_port <PORT> is the port that is assigned to the SDS.
  • force_failed_devices is to force update the path of error devices.
