Resolution

Use nsradmin to delete the license when services are down and after restarting services, license has been re-read.

Follow the below steps to remove the license offline from the res db:

1. Copy the license from CLP license text to notepad.
2. Stop the NetWorker services and NMC (gstd) services.
On Windows:
net stop nsrexecd
On Linux:
systemctl stop networker
systemctl stop gst

3. Check that any stale processes are running, if yes kill the process.
On Windows:

To check the stale processes:
tasklist | findstr nsr
To kill the stale process:
tskill <pid>
On Linux:
To check the stale processes:
ps -ef | grep nsr
To kill the stale process:
kill -9 <pid>

4. Copy the res under /nsr to any safe location.

5. Access the nsrdb using nsradmin in offline mode:

Windows:

nsradmin -d "C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\res\nsrdb"

Linux:

nsradmin -d /nsr/res/nsrdb

6. Then enter:

nsradmin>t
Known type: NSR,..... all the types will be listed
nsradmin>p type:NSR license
nsradmin>delete type:NSR license;name:CLP Capacity License
Delete? y
deleted resource id.....

7. Restart the services.

On Windows:

net start nsrd && net start gstd

On Linux:

systemctl start networker
systemctl start gst

8. Then launch the NMC and check that the Full conformance is updated.
