Configure an IBM Tivoli Storage Manager server for an PowerScale cluster
You can configure an IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) server to manage NDMP backups on an PowerScale cluster.
Configure the TSM server by following these steps:
- Configure the tape library.
- Configure your system for the backup and restore operations.
- Define a virtual filespace mapping and perform the backup operation.
- Define a virtual filespace mapping if you are restoring data to a location other than the location from where you backed up the data, and then perform the restore operation. Otherwise, perform the restore operation without defining a virtual filespace mapping.
