NDMP Redirector limitations
NDMP Redirector has the following limitations.
- NDMP Redirector does not work on NDMP three-way sessions. In other words, redirection can happen only between nodes that share the same Fibre Channel back-end network.
- SCSI 2-only tape drives are not supported for redirection.
- A redirected session runs on the redirected node until the session is closed by a DMA. A redirected session fails if the connection to the DMA is broken or if the DMA changes the session to run an NDMP three-way operation.
- If there is no suitable node for redirection, the node receiving the request will run the requested operation.
