Installing M.2 Intel Optane Memory Module 16 GB

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
   NOTE:Systems built/shipped before June/20/2017 require the below installation steps.
2. Remove the:
   1. stand
   2. optical drive
   3. back cover
   4. system board shield
   5. SSD (optional)
3. To remove M.2 Intel optane memory module:
   1. Remove the thermal pad and white adhesive tape from the box.
      
   2. Place the thermal pad on the SSD slot and remove the white adhesive tape.
      
   3. Place the M.2 Intel optane memory module into the slot on the thermal pad.
      
   4. Tighten the screw that secures the M.2 Intel optane memory module on the computer.
4. Install the:
   1. system board shield
   2. back cover
   3. optical drive
   4. stand
