Removing display assembly

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. stand
    2. optical drive
    3. back cover
    4. hard drive
    5. system board shield
    6. cable holder
    7. memory module
    8. coin cell battery
    9. SSD card
    10. WLAN card
    11. heat sink
    12. processor
    13. system fan
    14. OSD board
    15. speaker
    16. graphics card assembly
    17. system board
    18. chassis frame
  3. To disconnect the cable:
    1. Peel off the adhesive tapes that secure the display panel [1].
    2. Disconnect the touch and eDP cable from the board [2].

  4. To remove display assembly:
    1. Remove the M3x3.7 screws that secure the display assembly to the chassis [1].
    2. Lift the display assembly away from the computer [1]
