Removing the speakers

CAUTION:The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the nanoSIM card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Remove the wireless card.

The following images indicate the location of the speakers and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.

Steps

  1. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
  2. Remove the white antenna cable and speaker cable from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly and the assembly inner frame.
  3. Lift the right and left speakers, along with its cable, off the palm-rest assembly.
