Removing the WWAN card

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the nanoSIM card.
  3. Remove the base cover.

About this task

NOTE:The WWAN card is available only on certain configurations.

Steps

  1. Using plastic scribe, pry open the WWAN-card shield that secures the WWAN card to the palm-rest assembly.
  2. Lift the WWAN-card shield off the WWAN card.
  3. Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the WWAN-card bracket to the WWAN card and palm-rest assembly.
  4. Lift the WWAN-card bracket off the WWAN card and palm-rest assembly.
  5. Disconnect the antenna cables from the WWAN card.
  6. Remove the WWAN card off the WWAN-card slot on the system board.
