Symptoms
Configuration of ESRS
The following error is seen during network check.
$ uemcli /sys/support/esrsi checkNetwork Operation failed. Error code: 0x6400b76 The system encountered an unexpected error while completing the ESRS action. Search for the error code on the support website or product forums, or contact your service provider (Error Code:0x6400b76)
Cause
End User Acceptance License (EULA) is not accepted.
Resolution
Verify that the EULA is accepted or not:
service@(none) spb:~> uemcli /sys/support/esrsi show 1: Enabled = no EULA accepted = no
If it is accepted already and still not working, contact Dell Technical Support for doing a cleanup. If it is not accepted, the easiest method is to reconfigure the ESRS in Unisphere but if that is timing out (at adding customer credential):
uemcli /sys/support/esrsi set -acceptEula yes
Once the above command is performed, it creates a CST Lockbox user.
Validate again:
spa:/cores/service>uemcli /sys/support/esrsi checkNetwork Operation completed successfully.
Or
spa:/cores/service>uemcli /sys/support/esrsi checkNetwork Operation failed. Error code: 0x6400bc7 Integrated EMC Secure Remote Support cannot be enabled at this time, because the system cannot contact any required EMC server. Please refer to online help for this error code to resolve the issue. (Error Code:0x6400bc7)
Note: The above example shows that this issue is fixed (the first check is all good, second check says network issue). But we addressed the "The system encountered an unexpected error" here.
