Symptoms

  • vProxy-varmuuskopiolokeissa näkyy virhe:
Backup has FAILED. Unable to create snapshot. Unable to create non-quiesced snapshot after a retry attempt: An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Could not open or create change tracking file.

 

  • Sama virhe näkyy vProxy snapshot-mgr -lokissa (\opt\emc\vproxy\runtime\logs\vbackupd\vbackupd-snapmgr.log):
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS ERROR:  Snapshot creation task failed: An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Could not open or create change tracking file.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS ERROR:  Unable to create quiesced snapshot: An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Could not open or create change tracking file.

Cause

Tämän virtuaalikoneen CHANGE Block Tracking (CBT) -tiedostoissa on ongelma.

 

Resolution

Change Block Tracking (CBT) -tiedostot luodaan ja hallitaan ESXi-isännässä, jossa virtuaalikone on käynnissä. NetWorker on tilannevedoksen pyytäjä. VMware ottaa ja poistaa varmuuskopioissa käytetyt tilannevedokset. NetWorker ei voi kiertää tai ohittaa tilannevedosongelmaa.
