Symptoms

  • I log di backup vProxy mostrano l'errore:
Backup has FAILED. Unable to create snapshot. Unable to create non-quiesced snapshot after a retry attempt: An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Could not open or create change tracking file.

 

  • Il registro snapshot-mgr vProxy (\opt\emc\vproxy\runtime\logs\vbackupd\vbackupd-snapmgr.log) mostra lo stesso errore:
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS ERROR:  Snapshot creation task failed: An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Could not open or create change tracking file.

Cause

Si è verificato un problema con i file Change Block Tracking (CBT) per questa VM.

 

Resolution

I file Change Block Tracking (CBT) vengono creati e controllati dall'host ESXi su cui è in esecuzione la VM. NetWorker è un richiedente di snapshot; VMware acquisisce ed elimina le snapshot utilizzate per i backup. NetWorker non può aggirare o ignorare un problema di snapshot.

 

Contattare il supporto VMware per assistenza in relazione al problema relativo al file CBT.
