Symptoms

  • vProxy yedekleme günlükleri şu hatayı gösterir:
Backup has FAILED. Unable to create snapshot. Unable to create non-quiesced snapshot after a retry attempt: An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Could not open or create change tracking file.

 

  • vProxy snapshot-mgr log (\opt\emc\vproxy\runtime\logs\vbackupd\vbackupd-snapmgr.log) shows same error:
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS ERROR:  Snapshot creation task failed: An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Could not open or create change tracking file.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS ERROR:  Unable to create quiesced snapshot: An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Could not open or create change tracking file.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS NOTICE: Snapshot free space threshold validation not requested.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS WARN:   Retrying as a non-quiesced snapshot: Unable to create quiesced snapshot: An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Could not open or create change tracking file.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS INFO:   Task to create snapshot completed, errors = true.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS ERROR:  Unable to create non-quiesced snapshot after a retry attempt: An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Could not open or create change tracking file.

 

Cause

Resolution

Değiştirilmiş Blok İzleme (CBT) dosyaları, VM'nin üzerinde çalıştığı ESXi ana bilgisayarı tarafından oluşturulur ve kontrol edilir. NetWorker, anlık görüntü talep eden ve VMware, yedeklemeler için kullanılan anlık görüntüleri alıp siler. NetWorker, anlık görüntü sorunlarına çözüm bulamaz veya bunları aşamaz.
