Symptoms

The Jabra PanaCast function does not work when the webcam is connected using USB to a dock instead of the computer.

Affected Platforms:

  • Dell Pro Max 14 MC14255
  • Dell Pro Max 16 MC16255

Affected Docks:

  • Dell Dock - WD19S
  • Dell Thunderbolt Dock - WD22TB4
  • Dell Pro Dock WD25

Cause

A compatibility issue between the dock and the Jabra PanaCast causes this issue. The computer’s USB 3.0 bus cannot successfully get the device descriptor. The dock passes the descriptor command from the computer side, but the Jabra webcam is unable to respond to it.
