Installing the display hinges
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
NOTE: For replacement of stand or display hinges, the replacement kit is shipped with both stand and display hinges, and you must replace both of these components together. Please refer to the procedure for
removing the stand and
installing the stand.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the display hinges and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Align the screw holes on the display hinges with the screw holes on the display-assembly base.
- Replace the 10 screws (M3x5) that secure the display hinges to the display-assembly base.
Next steps
- Install the I/O cover.
- Install the back cover.
- Install the stand.
