Installing the M.2 2230 solid-state drive

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

Steps

  1. Align the notch on the M.2 2230 solid-state drive with the tab on the M.2 card slot.
  2. Slide the M.2 2230 solid-state drive at an angle into the M.2 card slot.
  3. Replace the screw (M2x3.5) to secure the M.2 2230 solid-state drive to the system board.
  4. Place the solid-state drive heat sink on the M.2 2230 solid-state drive.
  5. Align the screws on the solid-state drive heat sink to the screw holes on the system board.
  6. Tighten the two captive screws to secure the solid-state drive heat sink to the system board.
