Removing the optional Type-C module

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the side cover.

Steps

  1. Remove the two screws (M3x3) that secure the Type-C module to the chassis.
  2. Slide and rotate the Type-C module.
  3. Disconnect the Type-C cable and the DisplayPort cable from the connectors on the system board.
  4. Lift the Type-C module and the cables off the chassis.
