Removing the optional HDMI module

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the side cover.

About this task

The following image indicates the location of the optional HDMI module and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.

NOTE:Optional VGA and DisplayPort modules have similar procedure as optional HDMI module.

To identify the ports and connectors, see the system board connectors.

Steps

  1. Remove the two screws (M3X3) that secure the optional HDMI module to the chassis.
  2. Disconnect the HDMI module cable from the connector on the system board.
  3. Lift the HDMI module and the cable off the chassis.
