Installing the WLAN card

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

Steps

  1. Connect the WLAN antenna cables to the connectors on the WLAN card.
    The following table provides the antenna-cable color scheme for the WLAN card of your computer.

    Connectors on the wireless card Antenna-cable color
    Main (white triangle) White
    Auxiliary (black triangle) Black
  2. Align and place the WLAN-card bracket on the WLAN card to secure the antenna cables.
  3. Align the notch on the WLAN card with the tab on the WLAN-card slot.
  4. Slide the WLAN card at an angle into the WLAN-card slot.
  5. Replace the screw (M2x3.5) to secure the WLAN card on the system board.
