Storage requirements are provided.

Consider the following for internal storage:

  • Internal PERC includes PERC H755* for local RAID protected storage. Data and applications are not protected from node failure.
  • Resilience includes VxRail 2-node cluster with VMware vSAN, VMware vSphere Replication, or RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines. Resilience also includes smaller footprint and lower cost than a VxRail 2-node cluster with VMware vSAN.

VxRail satellite nodes do not contain VMware vSAN. Satellite nodes support the following storage arrays for secondary storage:

  • PowerStore
  • PowerMax (2000 or 8000, 2500 or 8500)
  • Dell Unity XT
  • PowerFlex
