Storage capacity requirements and general recommendations for VxRail 2-node cluster with VMware vSAN.

The following requirements apply for storage capacity:

  • A minimum of 25 to 30 percent of spare storage capacity is required for a VxRail 2-node cluster with VMware vSAN.
  • A 2-node cluster has RAID 1 protection. If a node fails, the surviving node continues to operate with a single object component.
