Dell VxRail Architecture Overview

The following options are recommended for secondary storage to work with VxRail.

• PowerStore
• Power Max (2000/8000, 2500/8500)
• Dell Unity XT
• PowerFlex
• VMAX

Third-party storage arrays are supported provided the third-party vendor arrays support the VMware ESXi version that matches the VxRail cluster. Follow best practices from Broadcom and the storage vendor. Standard clusters and dynamic clusters can use secondary storage.

Host and storage connectivity
