Storage for a VxRail dynamic cluster is from an external array or a remote VMware vSAN datastore.

VxRail dynamic node clusters support the following storage protocols:

  • FC
  • NVMe over FC
  • iSCSI
  • NFS
  • NVMe over TCP/IP

VxRail dynamic clusters support the following various storage types:

  • Data store on LUNs
  • vVols
  • NFS
  • VMware vSAN HCI mesh.
