Manual discovery

You can manually add a bare-metal server that is not added by the discovery process. Once added, the server is displayed in the list of servers in the Deployment Wizard.

Steps

  1. In OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter, on the Manage > Deployment tab, click the Manually add a server that has not been automatically discovered icon.
    The Add Server dialog box is displayed.
  2. In the Add Server dialog box, do the following:
    1. In the iDRAC IP Address text box, enter the iDRAC IP Address.
    2. In the User Name text box, enter the user name.
    3. In the Password text box, enter the password
  3. Click Add Server.
    The task of adding the server might take few minutes to complete.
