You can view
storage details for a single host on the Dell Hosts Information tab. For information to appear on this page, run an inventory job.
The hardware reports data directly from OMSA and iDRAC. See Running
inventory jobs. The page displays different options depending
on what is selected from the View drop-down
list. If you select Physical Disks, another
drop-down list is displayed. The next drop-down list is called Filter
and enables you to filter the physical disk options. To view the storage
details:
Steps
In OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter,
in the Navigator pane, click Hosts.
In the Objects tab,
select the specific host for which you want to view Storage: Physical
Disk details.
In the Monitor tab,
select the Dell Host Information tab.
On the Storage subtab, view
the following:

Displays the count of virtual disks, controllers,
enclosures, and associated physical disks with the global hot spare
and dedicated hot spare counts. When you select from the View drop-down
list, the selected option is highlighted.

The storage options on the Host Storage page depend on what you select from the View drop-down list.

of the mentioned options from the View drop-down list and view the

type of the virtual storage, which means the type of RAID that was
configured for this virtual disk

Stripe Sizeâdisplays the
stripe size, which is the amount of space that each stripe consumes
on a single disk
Bus Protocolâdisplays the
technology that the physical disks included in the virtual disk are
using. The possible values are:
SCSI
SAS
SATA
Default Read Policyâdisplays
the default read policy supported by the controller. The options include:
Read-Ahead
No-Read-Ahead
Adaptive Read-Ahead
Read Cache Enabled
Read Cache Disabled
Default Write Policyâdisplays
the default write policy supported by the controller. The options
include:
Write-Back
Force Write Back
Write Back Enabled
Write-Through
Write Cache Enabled Protected
Write Cache Disabled
Cache Policyâdisplays if
cache policy is enabled
Physical Disks â When you select this option,
the Filter drop-down list is displayed.
You can filter physical disks based on the following
options:
All Physical Disks
Global Hot Spares
Dedicated Hot Spares
The last option displays custom named virtual disks
Nameâdisplays the name of
the physical disk
Device FQDDâdisplays the
device FQDD
Capacityâdisplays the physical
disk capacity
Disk Statusâdisplays physical
disk status. The options include:
ONLINE
READY
DEGRADED
FAILED
OFFLINE
REBUILDING
INCOMPATIBLE
REMOVED

SMART ALERT DETECTED
UNKNOWN

UNSUPPORTED
Configuredâdisplays whether
the disk is configured
Hot Spare Typeâshows the
hot spare type. The options include:
Noâthere is no hot spare
Globalâan unused backup disk that is part of the
disk group
Dedicatedâan unused backup disk that is assigned
to a single virtual disk. When a physical disk in the virtual disk
fails, the hot spare is enabled to replace the failed physical disk
without interrupting the system or requiring your intervention.
Virtual Diskâdisplays the
name of the virtual disk
Bus Protocolâdisplays the
bus protocol
Controller IDâdisplays the
controller ID
Connector IDâdisplays the
connector ID
Enclosure IDâdisplays the
enclosure ID
