Symptoms

Dell U3224KB owners may experience black screen flashes on the screen, followed by distorted video after 0.5 second. The issue occurs when the computer enters display off, modern standby, cold boot, or warm boot.

Cause

Intel graphic does not support Display Stream Compression (DSC) pass-through, and there is no plan to enable for Multi-Stream Transport (MST) HDMI case.

Resolution

This is a design limitation and there is no plan for a fix.

As a workaround, connect the monitor to a computer's HDMI port or dock's DisplayPort instead.
