Removing the system fan

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. base cover
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board.
4. To remove the system fan:
   1. Disconnect and unroute the eDP cable from the routing channel on the system fan [1]. Disconnect the system fan cable from its connector on the system board [2].
      
   2. Remove the 3 M2.5x5 screws securing the fan to the palmrest [1] and then lift the fan off the computer [2].
