Removing the base cover

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer
2. Remove the SIM tray (WWAN models).
3. Remove the SD card
4. To remove the base cover:
   1. Loosen the 10 M2.5 captive screws that secure the base cover to the computer .
      
   2. Pry the base cover from the upper-right edge [1 ] and continue to pry the outer edges of the base cover in clockwise direction [2].
      NOTE: You may need a plastic scribe to pry the base cover from the edge [1].
      
5. Lift the right side and then the left side of the base cover.
   NOTE: The VGA port and the plastic from the base cover, must lift right side (as shown in illustration) up at an angle then release the left side in order to not get caught on the VGA port and damage either the base cover or VGA port.
