Removing the Input-Output board

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
  3. To remove the Input-Output (I/O) board:
    1. Move aside the HDD cable to access the I/O board cable [1] and remove the I/O board cable from the connector on the system board [2].

  4. Remove the M2x4 screw securing the I/O board [1] to the system and lift it off from the system [2].
