Symptoms
Dell Unity arrays connected using the Integrated Secure Remote Services (SRS) option will lose connectivity unless the Unity array is upgraded to OE 5.3 or above before Dec. 30, 2024.
Integrated SRS provides Outbound and Inbound connectivity to the Unity array, and enables connect home alerts and notifications, Cloud IQ data collection and remote support inbound connectivity.

Cause
Support for the Integrated Secure Remote Services (SRS) connection option will end on Dec. 30, 2024 and the underlying infrastructure will be retired.
Resolution
Upgrade to Unity OE 5.3 or above to avoid losing connectivity. The Unity OE 5.3 release introduced a new connectivity solution, SupportAssist, that replaces Secure Remote Services (SRS).
Upgrading to Unity OE 5.3 or above will convert the array from using integrated SRS to integrated SupportAssist.

How to identify the connectivity type on the Dell Unity from Unisphere:
- Log in to Unisphere.
- Click the gear icon (top-right corner) to enter the Settings page.
- Go to "Support Configuration" then "EMC Secure Remote Services," it shows Type as Integrated.
