Specify an NTP time server
You can specify one or more Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers to synchronize the system time on the PowerScale cluster. The cluster periodically contacts the NTP servers and sets the date and time using information from the NTP servers.

In the
NTP Servers
area, type the IPv4 or IPv6 address of one or more NTP servers. If you want to use a key file, type the key numbers in the field next to the server IP address.
Click Add Another NTP Server if you are specifying multiple servers.
- Optional: If you are using a key file for the NTP server, type the file path for that file in the Path to Key File field.
- In the Chimer Settings area, specify the number of chimer nodes that contact NTP servers (the default is 3).
- To exclude a node from chiming, type its logical node number (LNN) in the Nodes Excluded from Chiming field.
- Click Save Changes.
