System overview
The
PowerEdge
R550
system is a dual socket,
2U rack
system that supports:
- Up to two 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 24 cores per processor.
- 16 DDR4 DIMM slots
- Two redundant AC or DC power supply units
- 8 x 2.5-inch SAS/ SATA drives
- 16 x 2.5-inch SAS/ SATA drives
- 8 x 3.5-inch SAS/ SATA drives
NOTE:All instances of SAS, SATA drives are referred to as drives in this document, unless specified otherwise.
