Installing the cooling fan cage board

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the following components:
    1. Air shroud
    2. Cooling fan cage assembly
  4. Disconnect cables from the fan board.

Steps

  1. Align and lower the fan board with the screw holes in the system.
  2. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver. tighten the screws that secures the fan board to the system

Next steps

  1. Connect cables to the fan board.
  2. Replace the following components:
    1. Cooling fan cage assembly
    2. Air shroud
  3. Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
