Dell ThinOS 2402 Administrator’s Guide
Firmware installation using ThinOS ISO image
You can install ThinOS from a USB drive using the Dell OS Recovery Tool on the following platforms:
- OptiPlex 3000 Thin Client
- Latitude 3420
- OptiPlex 5400 All-in-One
- Latitude 3440
- Latitude 5440
- Latitude 5450
- OptiPlex All-in-One 7410
- OptiPlex All-in-One 7420
From ThinOS 2402, DellThinOS Recovery BIOS boot option is added in devices from the factory or you can install the option using the ISO image. If you boot using this option, the devices are recovered to factory installed or ISO image-installed status.
NOTE:If you update older devices to ThinOS 2402 using Wyse Management Suite, you cannot see the
DellThinOS Recovery BIOS boot option.
NOTE:If the device size is less than 32 GB,
DellThinOS Recovery BIOS boot option is not created.
