Symptoms

This issue described by this article is only present if all three symptoms are matched below:
 

  • PowerProtect Data Manager version is 19.17
  • Virtual Machine (VM) Instant Access or Instant Recover (Restore as New with Instant Access enabled) uses DD management interface 9 out of 10 times
  • Virtual Machine (VM) is part of a valid Protection Policy 
     

Error Code: ARV0007

Cause

Affected versions: 19.17
Fixed Version: 19.18

This article is specific to an issue introduced in PowerProtect Data Manager 19.17. PowerProtect Data Manager 19.17 uses the PowerProtect DD management interface for the majority of Instant Access and Restore as New with Instant Access enabled.

Resolution

Upgrade to PowerProtect Data Manager 19.18 or higher.
