Connecting the Keyboard to your computer

There are the following three methods of connecting your Alienware Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming keyboard - AW920K to your computer, or to several devices.

One: Wired Connection Mode

The Alienware Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming Keyboard AW920K uses a 2 m (6.6 ft) long removable USB Type-C to Type-A cable. It connects directly from the keyboard to your Desktop or Laptop.

Plug the USB Type-C connector to the rear of the keyboard and the Type-A connector to the Desktop or Laptop computer.

Two: 2.4 GHz Wireless Connection Mode

Connect the USB Type-A dongle to the computer that you want to use it with. Press the connection mode button to switch to 2.4 GHz mode. (The connection mode button is beside the power switch on the rear of the keyboard.)

Alternatively, if charging from that device, plug the dongle to the Type-A port on the back of the magnetic snap on charger. Plug the Type-C end of the USB cable to the back of the magnetic snap on charger. Hold the magnetic charger close to the rear of the keyboard until it seats in place. Plug the Type-A end of the USB cable to the device. Press the connection mode button to switch to 2.4 GHz mode.

Three: Bluetooth 5.1 Wireless Connection Mode

Press the connection mode button to switch to Bluetooth mode. Hold down the connection mode button for three seconds to activate Bluetooth pairing. You must use the Bluetooth on your device to identify the pairing signal and establish a connection. You can pair using Bluetooth on three different devices at once. Use the connection mode button to move between the devices.

Note: You can purchase different USB cables separately, if your computer does not support USB Type-A connectors.
