Symptoms

영향을 받는 버전: DM5500 5.13, 5.14가 영향을 받습니다.

DM5500 및 vCenter에는 Swap File 제외 및 메타데이터 인덱싱이 구성된 시간별 VADP 백업이 로드됩니다.

얼마 후 위의 구성을 사용하는 시스템에서 VM 백업이 실패하고 다음과 같은 오류가
발생합니다. "Cannot connect to backup Server:  [5040]".

Cause

시스템은 VMware VADP 워크로드 관점에서 "swapfile exclusion" 옵션을 사용하여 로드됩니다.

정책에 대해 "메타데이터 인덱싱"이 활성화될 수도 있고 활성화되지 않을 수도 있습니다. 

시간이 지남에 따라 시스템은 스토리지 시스템에 대한 모든 내부 연결을 소진합니다.

VM 보호 엔진 또는 vCenter에 리소스가 부족하면 스토리지 시스템에 생성된 연결이 정리되지 않습니다.

시간이 지남에 따라 연결 누출이 발생하여 백업이 중단됩니다.

해결:
    1. 오류가 발생하는 VM 보호 엔진을 식별합니다. PowerProtect Data Manager UI에서 VM 보호 엔진을 재시작합니다. 

PPDM UI

    2. UI에서 VM 보호 엔진을 추가합니다. 따라서 기존 VM 보호 엔진의 로드가 줄어듭니다.
    3. 보호 정책에서 Swap File exclusion 옵션을 비활성화합니다. 이를 통해 VM 보호 엔진의 부하가 더욱 줄어듭니다.
