Cause

This is a known issue in Data Protection Advisor.

The vcruntime140.dll module is missing on the DPA Application server.
The DPA Avamar data collection module (dpaagent_modavamar.exe) requires this module.

The vcruntime140.dll module is in the Visual C++ 2015 redistributable package (x64) for Microsoft Windows.

Resolution

There is no permanent resolution to this issue. The issue is still under investigation by Dell Engineering.

There is a workaround available for this issue.

On the DPA data collection server, install the Visual C++ 2015 redistributable package (x64). This package is available for download directly from Microsoft.
After installing the package on the DPA data collection server, restart the DPA Agent.
