Cause
The SSD is not being recognized because of a brief power surge that caused an error in its memory. This error is preventing the SSD from functioning properly and cannot be recovered.
Resolution
Updating the firmware of the Samsung PM9F1 solid state drive (SSD) helps prevent further inconsistencies with the SSD detection.

4JY3N(1 TB) and7818M(2 TB), update to SamsungPM9F1Solid State Drive firmware version 7732.0409. - For part numbers
24YVF(1 TB) andWGDX1(2 TB), update to SamsungPM9F1Solid State Drive firmware version 7732.0459.
- Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery.
- Connect the AC adapter if updates are being run on a laptop.
- Ensure that power remains connected if updates are being run on a desktop.
