Filter components of device collections

About this task

By default, the system information that is collected and sent to the Dell EMC by SupportAssist includes software information and system logs. If required, you can configure SupportAssist to filter the components of the collection being uploaded to Dell EMC.

Steps

  1. From the Plugins menu, select SupportAssist > Settings.
    The Settings page is displayed.
  2. On the Settings tab, select Collection.
    The Collection page is displayed.
  3. In the Server/Hypervisor section, to filter the following components of the device collection, clear the corresponding check boxes.
    • Software Details
    • System Logs
    • SMART Logs
  4. Click Apply.
