SRDF/Metro Smart DR restrictions and dependencies
The following sections contain general restrictions for SRDF/Metro Smart DR.
- All three arrays must be running PowerMaxOS 5978.669.669 or higher.
- All three arrays must be discoverable through Solutions Enabler and must be in the symapi_db.bin.
- All R1 devices in the SRDF/Metro session must also be R1 devices in an SRDF/A session to the DR array, and all R1 devices in that SRDF/A session must also be R1 devices in the SRDF/Metro session.
- All R2 devices in the SRDF/Metro session must also be R2 devices in an SRDF/A session to the DR array, and all R1 devices in that SRDF/A session must also be R1 devices in the SRDF/Metro session.
- The MetroR1, MetroR2, and associated DR devices must be the same size.
- Devices cannot be:
- BCV
- Encapsulated
- RecoverPoint
- Data Domain
- PPRC
- CKD
- Part of a STAR configuration
- Part of a SQAR configuration
- Enabled for MSC
- Part of a Data Migration session
